Meat Plural Is Meats
Got giant Elkhorn Oysters in the house tonight. Firm meats with a high brininess, sweet flavor and a melon finish. Meat plural is us throwing down industry jargon.
From the coast of Washington – Elkhorn oysters are accustomed to fighting the tides, clamping tightly shut during low tides to preserve their liquor and to protect themselves against predators. Am assuming we would constitute as said predators. Creating a rustic looking exterior with barnacles, black & white speckled shells with shades of green.
Some come on by, as the pencils these oysters won’t last forever.
See you upstate!
View To A Kill
Ah springtime in the city. Warm weather, twilight evenings and um construction.
Hopefully the round-the-clock manpower will end the construction sooner than later. Come by and check out the trucks with us.
See you upstate!
Whiskey Is Risky
And it makes the wife frisky lands you in the doghouse…
Late night debauchery – considered really early morning by most. We (husband) have Jason of The Immigrant and Jonathan of The Whiskey Shop to thank.
See you upstate!
Looks Like We Made It
What happens at Radio City Hall, stays at Radio City Hall…just got home from the Barry Manilow concert. Yup that’s right. Barry.
Some of us (husband) stayed home and enjoyed the night off.
She would merengue and do the cha-cha
And while she tried to be a star, Tony Shane always tended bar
Across a crowded floor, they worked from 8 till 4
They were young and they had each other
Who could ask for more?

Feel the Love
Congratulations to chefs Christina & Dominic who tied the knot this week. And where did they celebrate their first meal as Mr & Mrs? Yup, with us.
And speaking of happy couples…home brewers Andrea & Scott came in with a batch of their latest nut brown beer for us to try. They are submitting it in the Long Island Home Brewer competition. They have our vote!
Deliveries are en route for this evening and two whiskey cakes are cooling.
See you upstate!
Monday Construction Part II
It started innocently enough with the addition of the new shelves, so when the old man rolled into town today (aka father-in-law) the agenda was clear. Monday construction, again.
So fingers crossed we’ll have new table tops ready for you tomorrow, Tuesday when we open @5pm.
See you upstate!
Good Google
Sometimes it’s the little things in life that matter…like getting your husband to finally understand what it is that you do. Well now he sorta understands.
In addition to good google, we’ve got a great draught line-up tonight and a fresh delivery of oysters.
See you upstate!
