Been on a sherry kick as of late thanks to our cute neighbor Tinto Fino a wine shop that offers 250 Spanish selections, with a particular emphasis on sherry.
Like champagne, sherry has that whole regulatory classification system but instead of the french AOC, it’s D.O. Who knew sherry was a snob? We totally dig it.
We’ve put Bodegas Hidalgo La Gitana on the menu and you fancy folks just can’t seem to get enough of this Manzanilla. It’s a dry wine, the lightest and most delicate of the Sherry region and can only be made in the coastal town of Sanlacar de Barrameda.
Your great aunt’s sherry this aint.
See you upstate!
