Looks Like We Made It

What happens at Radio City Hall, stays at Radio City Hall…just got home from the Barry Manilow concert. Yup that’s right. Barry.

fancy-pants drinks

Some of us (husband) stayed home and enjoyed the night off.

She would merengue and do the cha-cha
And while she tried to be a star, Tony Shane always tended bar
Across a crowded floor, they worked from 8 till 4
They were young and they had each other
Who could ask for more?

Feel the Love

Congratulations to chefs Christina & Dominic who tied the knot this week. And where did they celebrate their first meal as Mr & Mrs? Yup, with us.

Best wishes to the happy couple

And speaking of happy couples…home brewers Andrea & Scott came in with a batch of their latest nut brown beer for us to try. They are submitting it in the Long Island Home Brewer competition. They have our vote!

You know what they say...couples that brew together, um drink together?

Deliveries are en route for this evening and two whiskey cakes are cooling.

Monday Construction Part II

It started innocently enough with the addition of the new shelves, so when the old man rolled into town today (aka father-in-law) the agenda was clear. Monday construction, again.

So fingers crossed we’ll have new table tops ready for you tomorrow, Tuesday when we open @5pm.

Good Google

Sometimes it’s the little things in life that matter…like getting your husband to finally understand what it is that you do. Well now he sorta understands.

Bunch of extras dressed up as zombies were in the 'hood that day, hence the zombie text

In addition to good google, we’ve got a great draught line-up tonight and a fresh delivery of oysters.

Spring Cleaning

With spring in the air we will keep our fronts doors open, for all to enjoy the view of Dunkin’ Donuts warm weather evenings.

The change of season tends to inspire a few other changes – like wardrobe, rearranging the furniture, cleaning out closets…we’ve even taken our basement, er office to task. And will be dropping off excess dinnerware to our neighbor the Bowery Mission.

There are lots of great non-profit organizations throughout this city that will gladly accept items that you may no longer be in need of. Happy spring cleaning.

Love Letter II

As much as we dig technology, there’s no app in the world that can surpass the personal joy of receiving a handwritten thank you note.

This thoughtful missive was left for us earlier in the week from one our neighborhood regulars, Tammi

We thank you for your thank you Tammi, it’s small gestures like this that make the insanity of owning a restaurant in NYC feel a bit less, well…insane. As my grandmother always said “Please and thank you go a long way. And they are free.”

Oh and we’re tapping 21st Amendent Monk’s Blood this evening, so come on by.

Holiday Hangover

Good food, great company and golf. Lots of golf. Enough to make a grown man cry. Right Bubba?

And thankfully for those of us bored by the ugly golf outfits who supported said golf enthusiasts we had Schramsberg Brut Rosé to make the Masters more interesting.

Was nice having two days off in a row but we are back and open this evening.

Hoppy Easter To All

Best part about holidays? All the arts & crafts, as we (wife) love making stuff! So we’re coloring eggs while waiting on fish and beer deliveries. And gorging on sugary confections – Peeps pair perfectly with our coffee.

Even better when left out overnight

Ears have the most flavor

Please know that we will be closed this Sunday, April 8th for Easter. Enjoy the holiday weekend.
