Pate Party Hell Yeah

Had the most excellent pate party yesterday evening…officially it was a pate bake-off between upstate and food photographer Noah Fecks. Three different kinds of pate that we paired with an incredible 1999 Miura Pinot Noir. A wine so cultish they don’t even have a website –  because you don’t seek Miura, Miura seeks you.

Check out our savory photos Noah so kindly posted on his site.

The two pate ‘chefs’: wife (aka Jennifer) and Noah, who technically won. His pate in presentation and taste were masterful. And note the fact that the husband selected Noah’s pate, unknowingly as his favorite of the trio. Allegedly. Yet considering we all spent the evening noshing on tasty homemade pate and drinking crazy wine – it’s fair to say we were all winners.

On the way home we stopped by our neighbor, Big Gay Ice Cream. Yes, they have super yummy ice cream that we always enjoy but we love the fact that they have Tang on tap. Tang on tap people. Brings back great Saturday morning memories of Tang, cereal and School House Rock. Lolly, lolly get your adverbs Tang here.

And speaking of what’s on tap. We’ve got some new beers on draught this week. Had a massive oyster delivery this morning too, check out our updated oyster list here.

See you upstate!
